Overview

A successful Quality Control Manager is responsible for all quality related aspects of the project. Oversees compliance with client’s Quality Control Contract Specification, State and Federal Regulations and the company’s quality policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with craft and project owner representatives while facilitating communication of company and quality policies, procedures, and standards
  • Develop and implement the project specific Quality Control Plan to ensure compliance by all personnel
  • Manage quality control documentation
  • Conduct quality control orientations and quality control training's for project construction staff and subcontractors
  • Develop understanding of project specifications, drawings and materials utilized on project
  • Coordinate and schedule project specific inspections and tests, verify reports are accurate prior to submittal to client, and monitor performance standards
  • Issue, monitor and close-out Non-Conformance Reports
  • Oversee non-conformance root cause analysis process and evaluate non-conformance trends to identify areas of improvement
  • Track material quantities relevant to test frequency
  • Provide audits and surveillance on subcontractor performed work and materials suppliers
  • Perform field inspections and complete reports as necessary
  • Address construction staff and subcontractors regarding quality expectations and outcomes
  • With the Project Manager develop the Project Punch list, distribute internally and to subcontractors and track completion of punch list items
  • Organize workload to determine priority of duties
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in an industry related field preferred
  • Minimum Two(2) years of telecommunications construction experience
  • Prior work related to quality control inspection preferred
  • Experience developing and managing a quality program for overhead and underground construction
  • Expert understanding of the project life cycle as defined by PMI
  • Excellent planning, organization and project management skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance
  • Proficient in the use of office hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment. (Wrenches, Drills, Ladders, Lanyards, Forklifts, Saws, etc.)
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with a heavy workload on a daily basis
  • Must be able to manage to strict deadlines on multiple open bid requests.
  • Self starter
  • Detail oriented
